In 2026, the spotlight in the German whisky landscape once again shines on Schliersee. SLYRS Distillery — a pioneer of Bavarian Mountain Whisky for more than two decades — has earned a remarkable series of awards that reinforce its position as one of Germany’s leading whisky producers.
At the Meininger’s International Spirits Award (ISW), the SLYRS Single Malt Whisky Fifty One was crowned German Whisky of the Year 2026. This title not only highlights the exceptional quality of the whisky, but also the craftsmanship and dedication that have defined SLYRS for over 25 years.
Three additional SLYRS bottlings were honoured with gold medals:
- SLYRS Single Malt Whisky Fifty One
- SLYRS Single Malt Whisky Classic
- SLYRS Single Malt Whisky Rum Cask Finish
