Kunstmann is a Chilean craft beer brand from Torobayo, Valdivia, brewed by Compañia Cervecera Kunstmann S.A. under the leadership of Armin Kunstmann. The brand unites local tradition with modern craftsmanship and positions itself as a quality brewer from the heart of southern Chile. Kunstmann stands for distinctive flavours, natural ingredients and a strong story behind every beer.

Historical backgroundValdivia’s beer tradition dates back to German colonization; the first commercial breweries appeared in the mid‑19th century. After setbacks such as the devastating 1960 earthquake, the local beer culture was revived through home‑brewing sessions by the Kunstmann family. In 1997 production scaled up with the opening of a restaurant‑brewery in Torobayo, forming today’s Sociedad Cervecera Valdivia Ltda.

Brewing philosophy and ingredientsKunstmann emphasizes craftsmanship and purity: the base ingredients are malt/barley, water, hops and yeast, in the spirit of the Reinheitsgebot. The brewery’s location ensures access to clean, natural spring water, contributing to the fresh and pure flavour profiles of the beers.
